Wehah Farms of Richvale, CA, is recalling Lundberg Family Farms Sustainable Wild Blend Gourmet Rice. This is due to possible contamination by a "foreign object that appears to be of rodent origin," as noted in an announcement by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The recall was first initiated on May 10, 2024 and classified by the FDA on Wednesday, July 17. It has been classified as "Class II," which indicates "a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote," per the FDA. Tahini Products Sold Nationwide Are Being Recalled Due to Salmonella Contamination In total, 4,600 cases of rice containing six bags per case have been recalled. The product was sold in 1-pound poly bags with lot code 231004 and a best before date of October 4, 2024. The rice was distributed across seven states, including Arizona, California, Florida, Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon and Wisconsin.
