Chicken Alfredo with Fettuccine

For a rich and comforting meal, try this chicken alfredo recipe that's remarkably easy to make. Simply sauté strips of chicken breast in butter, then add to a pan of heated cream infused with garlic. Once you stir in plenty of Parmesan, the sauce is ready to toss with cooked fettucine—and dinner is served!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast

  • Coarse salt

  • Ground white pepper

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled

  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving

  • 1 pound fettucine

Directions

  1. Cut chicken in strips. Season with salt and white pepper and saute in butter. Meanwhile in a separate pot, simmer garlic cloves in cream for 10 minutes.

  2. Pour cream into pan with chicken, removing garlic cloves. Stir in Parmesan. Cook pasta according to package instructions.

  3. Toss pasta with sauce and serve with extra Parmesan.
